This show began the week as an Australian-power showcase show, morphed into a turbo-Lady show, and wound up as a Victoria super-blast show, so it was a pretty good week for us. I love Bikini Kill and Sunset Rubdown makes me want to cry. Indiecontextual adores Broken Social Scene. We do. Sometimes we let them slip away from us because there is so much else for us to look into, but we love them with our whole hearts. Dont worry. Sssh.

glynis was best friends with my next-door neighbour. we didnt really spend any time together at all. last week there was a burlesque practise at chelseys studion for BURLAIMO, which is coming this month. glynis was there, wearing smoked cigarettes and coffee. she gave me a ride home in her car, in her car that was playing t.rex. the gentleman-singer said, i danced myself right out the womb, is it strange to dance so soon? i thought, NO! i thought, T.REX!! and that is how i found out all about them.

and, gosh, we saw immaculate machine play at the queens on thursday night! and it was awesome! i really like them -- i like how they sound so familiar, and how they sing like they mean it and the girl-singer shuts her eyes and the boy-singer grins and holds his guitar close to his body. its a dream!! this show was the first time we ever played bikini kill! how fucked up is that? i looooove bikini kill. kathleen hanna is out-of-control.

this took me so long to do. im sorry. last night jamie and i went to see run chico run and shapes and sizes in victoria at the victoria event centre and it was super-rad. we bought four tiny bags of chips. we listened to harry and the potters. the victoria event centre is BEAUTIFUL -- i cant wait to ever play a show there. i cant wait to be GOOD enough. the bash brothers (i play drums and lindsay plays the guitar or the bass) have a gig in victoria on thursday. we are playing at steamers pub and -- let me TELL you -- steamers pub cannot even TOUCH the victoria event centre. jamie and i had fancy coffees from serious coffee. lindsay and i may do the same. the album of the week was want one by rufus wainwright. it could rock your socks off, if you tried.
